Introduction

Bengaluru-based wealthtech platform Wint Wealth delivered a strong financial performance in FY25, marking a significant step toward sustainable scale. The company recorded a 2.6X jump in operating revenue while narrowing its losses by over 60% to ₹8.2 crore. At a time when India’s wealthtech sector is witnessing cautious funding and sharper scrutiny on profitability, Wint Wealth’s performance signals disciplined growth in a segment traditionally dominated by banks and large financial institutions.

Founded in 2020, the six-year-old startup enables retail investors to access fixed-income investment products such as corporate bonds, securitised debt instruments, and non-convertible debentures (NCDs). It also operates a B2B lending arm through its NBFC subsidiary, Wint Capital, further strengthening its revenue base.

Financial Performance

According to filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Wint Wealth’s operating revenue surged to ₹44.5 crore in FY25 from ₹17.2 crore in FY24. The sharp rise in scale played a crucial role in reducing net losses to ₹8.2 crore during the same period.

The company’s primary revenue driver is interest income from debt securities and loans issued through Wint Capital, calculated using the effective interest rate (EIR) method. This segment contributed 69% of total operating revenue and grew 3.9X year-on-year to ₹30.8 crore in FY25.

In addition, Wint Wealth generated ₹9 crore from fee-based financial intermediary services, including facilitating debt investments and bond transactions. Another ₹4.7 crore came from net gains on trading debt securities in the secondary market. Interest income from current investments and other non-operating sources added ₹2.3 crore, taking total income to ₹46.8 crore for the fiscal year

.

Founders and Leadership

Wint Wealth was founded by Ajinkya Kulkarni (Co-founder & CEO), Shashank Chimaladari (Co-founder & CTO), Abhik Patel (Co-founder & CPO), Anshul Gupta (Co-founder), and Vinay Dubey (Co-founder & CMO).

Ajinkya Kulkarni leads the company’s strategic vision and frequently represents the firm in public forums. Shashank Chimaladari heads technology, ensuring robust platform infrastructure and compliance-ready systems. Abhik Patel drives product innovation, focusing on simplifying debt investments for retail users. Anshul Gupta plays a key founding role in business operations, while Vinay Dubey oversees marketing and brand positioning.

Together, the founding team combines financial services expertise with technology-driven execution, enabling Wint Wealth to democratize access to fixed-income investments.

Cost Structure and Operational Efficiency

Despite strong revenue growth, expenses also rose as the company scaled operations. Total expenditure increased by 32% to ₹54.7 crore in FY25 from ₹41.5 crore in FY24.

Employee benefit expenses remained the largest cost component, accounting for 49% of overall costs and rising 25.6% to ₹27 crore, including ₹4.7 crore in ESOP expenses. Interest expenses formed another major chunk, representing 34% of total costs and jumping 4.4X to ₹18.6 crore as lending operations expanded.

Other overheads included advertising, administrative, and legal expenses. On a unit basis, Wint Wealth spent ₹1.23 to earn one rupee of operating revenue in FY25, reflecting improving efficiency compared to earlier years.

As of March 2025, the company reported current assets of ₹296 crore, including ₹35 crore in cash and bank balances, providing financial stability for continued expansion.

Funding and Market Position

Wint Wealth has raised approximately $60 million to date. Its most recent ₹250 crore ($28 million) funding round was led by Vertex Ventures, with participation from Eight Roads Ventures, Zerodha-backed Rainmatter, and 3one4 Capital. The backing from marquee investors strengthens its credibility in India’s competitive wealthtech landscape.

According to Entrackr data, Indian wealthtech startups collectively raised over $634 million across 51 deals during 2024–25. However, large-ticket rounds remain limited, indicating a more selective funding environment. In this context, Wint Wealth’s performance stands out as a sign of operational discipline and investor confidence.

Growth Outlook

As retail participation in debt markets increases, Wint Wealth is well-positioned to capture rising demand for alternative fixed-income products. Its dual revenue model — interest income and fee-based services — creates diversification and resilience. Continued focus on compliance, technology infrastructure, and investor education will be critical for long-term growth.

With losses narrowing sharply and revenues accelerating, the company appears to be moving steadily toward sustainable profitability.

Conclusion

Wint Wealth’s FY25 performance highlights how focused execution, diversified revenue streams, and disciplined cost management can drive meaningful progress toward profitability in the wealthtech space. As India’s retail investing ecosystem matures, platforms like Wint Wealth are playing a crucial role in expanding access to fixed-income opportunities.
