Introduction

Indian resale homes platform Truva has raised $9 million (₹78 crore) in fresh funding, highlighting growing investor confidence in technology-led solutions that address inefficiencies in India’s fragmented secondary real estate market. The round was led by existing investors Stellaris Venture Partners and Orios Venture Partners, signaling continued belief in Truva’s full-stack, execution-driven approach to resale housing.

About the Funding

Of the total $9 million raised, $7.3 million (₹61 crore) was secured as equity, while $1.7 million (₹17 crore) came as venture debt from Stride Ventures. The round also attracted a group of prominent angel investors, including Mukesh Bansal (Co-founder, Myntra & CureFit), Aakrit Vaish and Miten Sampat (Co-founders, PayCheque), Ramakant Sharma (Co-founder, LivSpace), Natasha Malpani Oswal (Founder, Boundless Ventures), and Ram Raheja (MD, S Raheja Realty).

This funding follows Truva’s $3 million seed round in August 2024, also led by Stellaris Venture Partners, marking a significant step in the company’s scale-up journey.

Use of Funding

Truva plans to deploy the new capital across multiple strategic priorities. A substantial portion will strengthen TruIQ, the company’s proprietary real estate valuation and liquidity intelligence engine that underpins pricing accuracy and transaction speed.

Additionally, the funds will support inventory-linked working capital, allowing Truva to scale core operational processes, including legal and physical verification, property staging, selective renovations, and end-to-end transaction management. Part of the capital will also fuel geographic expansion into new metros such as Delhi NCR and Bengaluru, alongside deepening its presence in Mumbai.

About the Startup

Founded in 2023, Truva is a full-stack resale homes platform that aims to make the home buying and selling experience seamless, transparent, and predictable. Unlike traditional listing platforms, Truva positions itself as a transaction partner, managing the entire resale process end-to-end.

The startup works on exclusive seller mandates, giving it control over inventory quality, pricing transparency, and operational execution. By integrating technology with on-ground execution, Truva delivers faster sales, better pricing, and higher customer satisfaction.

About the Founders

Truva was founded by Puneet Arora, Monil Singhal, and Ankit Gupta, who observed a major gap in India’s resale housing market. Despite homes being among the most expensive purchases for families, the resale process remained fragmented, opaque, and stressful.

The founders aimed to bring honesty, transparency, and predictability to resale transactions by combining operational rigor with technology intelligence. Their model focuses on solving real-world challenges rather than being a simple digital listing service, ensuring smoother and faster transactions for buyers and sellers alike.

Market Opportunity

India’s resale housing market is large but inefficient, characterised by fragmented intermediaries, inconsistent pricing, long transaction timelines, and low consumer trust. While primary real estate has undergone digitisation, the secondary market continues to lag behind.

Rising urbanisation, premiumisation, and growing consumer willingness to pay for convenience have created a significant opportunity for platforms that professionalise resale transactions. Investors see this segment as a high-potential, underpenetrated market within India’s broader proptech ecosystem.

Business Model and Revenue Streams

Truva operates on a transaction-led business model, earning revenue through service fees tied to successful resale deals. By managing the full transaction lifecycle—valuation, verification, negotiation, and closure—the company aligns its incentives with both buyers and sellers.

Central to its model is TruIQ, a proprietary real estate intelligence engine that uses over 1,000 data points, including floor plans, transaction history, walk-in demand, and micro-market trends, to provide accurate unit-level valuations. According to the company, homes listed on Truva sell 7–10 times faster than the market average, while ensuring transparent pricing and superior customer satisfaction.

Since launch, Truva has built a presence in seven micro-markets in Mumbai, facilitating resale transactions worth over ₹500 crore and serving more than 200 buyers and sellers, with 6x year-on-year growth.

Future Plans

Truva aims to expand into more than 20 micro-markets across Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and other cities over the next 12 months. The startup targets ₹1,500 crore in gross merchandise value (GMV), driven by geographic expansion, enhanced operational efficiency, and continuous technology investment.

The company also plans to deepen its data-driven capabilities, further improve transaction speed and predictability, and establish itself as India’s most trusted resale homes brand.

Conclusion

With strong institutional backing, a differentiated full-stack model, and a clear focus on execution, trust, and technology, Truva is well-positioned to address long-standing inefficiencies in India’s resale housing market. The funding will help the company scale operations, expand geographically, and deepen technological capabilities, making it a leading player in India’s proptech ecosystem.
